Having a bug infested home is no fun for anyone. Fortunately for you, there are many products and techniques you can apply to get rid of bugs in your home. Ants, cockroaches, fleas, spiders, silverfish, and others are all very commonly found in homes.  But, before you go using these products, it’s a good idea to find out how the bugs are getting into your home:

Keep Them From Coming In

Insects have the ability to crawl in your home from the most tiny holes. You can seal holes with a fine screen to be sure the bugs can’t get in. Also, don’t leave doors open for long when you are going in and out of your house or apartment. It’s amazing how sneaky insects can be.

Insects come into your house from the outside. There are many insecticides available for outdoors. Be sure to pay special attention to standing water because this is where the larvae is.

Killing the Ones Inside Your House

Bugs like cockroaches, ants, and flies are all looking for meals inside your home. There are many bug traps available that attract bugs and kill them. These products work great but there needs to be a combined effort to remove the food that in attracting the bugs, and using poisonous traps. Then, you will just need to keep everything clean and free from attractants.

Other bugs that like to infest your home are parasites like fleas, lice, and mites. There are many flea products available for getting rid of fleas on your pets and in your home. If you have a lice problem, you will need to find a lice insecticide and spray them with it.

When you are using insecticides, always make sure to read the labels and make sure you are abiding by all of the warnings and instructions.

Keep things Clean

You need to make an effort to keep things clean and tidy so bugs will not be attracted. Vacuum your home to be sure that you are not supplying any bugs with food. Bugs go where there is food and if it is available to them, they will be there. Fresh fruit on your counter or table can also attracts bugs as well as trash cans. Empty your trashcan regularly and clean and spray the cans at least once a month.  Seal any cracks or crevasses leading to the outdoors and you will eventually have a bug free house!
